Recently, the 2024 Tran Thai Binh Temple Festival with the theme: "Dong A's heroic spirit - Echoes of a thousand years" officially opened at the special national relic of the Tombs and Temples of the Tran Dynasty Kings (Tien Duc commune, Hung Ha district).
Attending the opening ceremony were former Politburo member and former Standing member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong; Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh; representatives of central ministries, departments and agencies; leaders of Thai Binh province and many tourists from all over the country.
The highlight of the opening night was the drum performance "Long Hung - Temple of the Tran Dynasty" gathering 175 drummers, representing the 175 years of reign of the Tran Dynasty and the semi-realistic play "Hung oanh mot gioi troi Nam", 3D - Mapping performance "The resistance against the Yuan-Mongol army (third time), and the art performance "Khuc khai hoan ca".

At the opening ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee Tran Thi Bich Hang emphasized that the Tran Temple Festival in Thai Binh is a spiritual and cultural activity in early spring to commemorate and pay tribute to the great contributions of our ancestors in the cause of building and defending the country, bearing deep humanistic values, a cultural mark, of great historical significance, harmoniously combining tradition and modernity, demonstrating the unique cultural features of the land and people of Thai Binh and the Long Hung - Hung Ha region. This is the place where the Tran Dynasty originated and built, a place containing historical imprints, closely associated with the Tran Dynasty, the place where the Tran family started their career, and also the resting place of the ancestors of the Tran Dynasty.

The historical site of the Tran Kings' Tombs and Temples in Hung Ha, Thai Binh holds an important position in the history of the Vietnamese nation. Since the site was restored and embellished, the Festival at the Tran Kings' Temple has been restored and maintained on January 13 every year, in accordance with traditional regulations.
The cultural highlight of the Tran Kings Temple Festival in Thai Binh is many traditional rituals imbued with humanity, along with traditional folk games and performances originating from the Tran Dynasty, such as the fish feast competition, the water procession, the stick fighting, the wrestling, the exchange between the two villages of Tam Duong and Van Dai, and many other fine customs that have been strictly and sustainably maintained.

The 2024 Tran Temple Festival in Thai Binh takes place from February 22 to 26, 2024 (ie from January 13 to 17, Giap Thin year). The ceremony includes traditional rituals such as: Temple opening ceremony, incense offering ceremony at the tombs of Tran kings, water procession ceremony, and worship ceremony. The festival includes many activities, such as: fine art photography exhibition; OCOP product display; phoenix betel leaf wrapping contest; clay firecracker contest; Cheo club exchange; fish feast contest; organizing Vietnam Poetry Day; singing festival; banh chung wrapping contest; calligraphy contest; men's volleyball club exchange; shuttlecock wrestling contest; fire pulling contest to cook rice; tug of war contest; chess contest.
Since 2014, the Tran Dynasty Tombs and Temples have been ranked as a Special National Monument. The Tran Temple Festival in Thai Binh Province has been included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
