Mr. Truong Van Quy - owner of Sabirama restaurant said that this is the second time the restaurant has coordinated with tourists to organize a food donation program at Quang Nam Social Protection Center (Cam Ha commune, Hoi An city).
Participating in this program, in addition to the agreed tour price, each tourist will contribute a small amount (as desired) to cook 110 meals of 5 dishes, including braised meat, fried fish, fried eggs, stir-fried vegetables, soup, rice and 1 banana for dessert to give to the elderly, orphans and disabled children at the Quang Nam Social Protection Center. Mr. Truong Van Quy also spent extra money to buy milk and diapers for the elderly and children.

During the meal donation ceremony on April 6, many elderly tourists could not hold back their tears when they saw the unfortunate circumstances living at the Quang Nam Social Protection Center, so they donated nearly 7 million VND more, and promised to return to continue supporting the children and elderly people there.
Ms. Dana Garanobst - an American tourist felt happy when she gave each meal to the elderly living at the center. According to the female tourist, cooking for the disadvantaged community brought her joy, and she was even happier when she saw those in unfortunate circumstances enjoying the delicious food she prepared herself.

In the coming time, Sabirama restaurant is expected to continue to coordinate with other tourist groups to organize more similar programs to create responsible, community-oriented tourism products.
Mr. Truong Van Quy shared that he named the program “Journey of Sharing – Connecting Love”. For him, this is not simply a tourism product, but a journey of connection and sharing.
“For more than 10 years of being attached to Hoi An, I have always wondered how to make sure that every visitor coming here not only brings back beautiful photos, but also brings back beautiful emotions, profound memories and positive life values.

From that thought, “Journey of Sharing – Connecting Love” was born as a way to connect tourists with local people, between experience and social responsibility. I believe that when tourists cook meals themselves and hand them to the needy, that moment will be engraved in their hearts, it is kindness, it is compassion without borders” – Mr. Quy said.
