(GLO)- On the afternoon of June 28, the People's Committees of Krong Pa and Chu Prong districts (Gia Lai province) reviewed the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, ensuring security and national defense in the first 6 months of the year and deployed tasks for the last 6 months of 2023.
In the first 6 months of 2023, despite many difficulties and challenges, the socio-economic, defense and security situation in Krong Pa district continued to be maintained stable. The total production value in the district reached 2,802 billion VND, reaching 45.12% of the plan, up 2.64% over the same period in 2022; the production value of agriculture, forestry and fishery (2010 comparative prices) is estimated at 1,406.6 billion VND, up 11.09% over the same period. The total cultivated area in the district reached over 45,700 hectares of various crops, reaching 96% of the plan.

The state budget revenue in the district in the first 6 months of the year was 25,739 billion VND, reaching 55% of the estimate assigned by the District People's Council and 65% of the estimate assigned by the province. Up to now, the district has 3/13 communes meeting new rural standards. Cultural and sports activities, job creation and social security, poverty reduction, and ethnic policies continue to receive attention; political security and social order and safety are strengthened and maintained; the 2023 military enlistment ceremony was successfully organized, ensuring 100% of the military enlistment target.
In the last 6 months of 2023, Krong Pa district focuses on effectively implementing the innovation of the one-stop, one-stop mechanism in handling administrative procedures; strictly handling officials and civil servants who have harassing and negative behaviors in handling administrative procedures. Strengthening the inspection of public service and compliance with working hours of officials, civil servants and public employees. Performing well the work of receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations under the authority to ensure timely compliance with legal regulations. Speeding up the construction progress and disbursement of capital for construction investment projects according to allocated capital sources, strictly handling cases of illegal construction. In the first 6 months of 2023, the People's Committee of Chu Prong district also directed and implemented the tasks and solutions set out in all fields resolutely and synchronously. The basic socio-economic development indicators ensured the plan's divergence, and the economic structure shifted positively. In the 2023 Winter-Spring crop, the whole district planted 3,046 hectares, reaching 106.21% of the plan, an increase of 3.48% over the same period. The total budget revenue in the district in the first 6 months of the year is estimated at 40,489 billion VND, reaching 62.44% of the provincial estimate, reaching 58.39% of the estimate assigned by the District People's Council Resolution. Trade and service activities have improved a lot. The work of building new rural areas, poverty reduction, especially poverty reduction among ethnic minorities, has been focused on and directed resolutely by all levels and sectors. Up to now, the whole district has 7/19 communes meeting new rural standards, reaching 36.8%; there are 8 villages meeting new rural standards. The total number of criteria achieved by the communes is 246 criteria, an average of 12.95 criteria/commune. In 2023, 4 products were recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as 3-star OCOP. Attention is paid to the cultural and social fields. Policies and regimes for beneficiaries are fully and promptly implemented, and ethnic minority villages are supported. Urgent social issues, petitions, complaints, denunciations, opinions and recommendations of voters are addressed. National defense and security are maintained, social order and safety are ensured. Foreign affairs are strengthened.
In the second half of 2023, Chu Prong district will continue to implement programs and policies to support agricultural development and new rural construction towards sustainable development; do a good job of preventing and fighting natural disasters, floods and storms, search and rescue; focus on mobilizing and integrating resources, implementing solutions to effectively implement the National Target Program on New Rural Construction to complete the set targets of 2023; strengthen the management of budget collection in the area, strive to achieve and exceed the assigned estimates; speed up the construction progress and disbursement of works, improve the quality of basic construction...
