HoSE is congested with orders, the market is again in red

The market opened in a shaky state, notably at one point the VN-Index approached the 1,280 point mark before selling pressure overwhelmed it, causing red to dominate the electronic board.

Most industry groups were in red at the end of this morning's session, including the food and beverage industry, which was also affected despite achieving quite good growth at the beginning of the session. The banking group led the morning session but only 4 codes remained green: LPB, TCB, VCB and MBB, but the increase was also modest.

At the end of the morning session on March 6, VN-Index decreased by 6.15 points, equivalent to 0.48% to 1,263.83 points. The entire floor had 133 stocks increasing and 339 stocks decreasing. HNX-Index decreased by 2.25 points to 235.1 points. UPCoM-Index decreased by 0.58 points to 91.2 points.

In the afternoon session, trading on HoSE suddenly experienced order congestion and the electronic board froze at some points in the afternoon session. This affected investors' order placement and cancellation, combined with profit-taking pressure, causing the market to sink into red.

At the end of the trading session on March 6, VN-Index decreased by 7.25 points, equivalent to 0.57% to 1,262.73 points. The entire floor had 130 stocks increasing, 356 stocks decreasing, and 67 stocks remaining unchanged.

HNX-Index decreased by 1.89 points to 235.45 points. The entire floor had 63 stocks increasing, 115 stocks decreasing and 65 stocks remaining unchanged. UPCoM-Index decreased by 0.54 points to 91.24 points. In the VN30 basket alone, 18 stocks decreased in price.

The retail group had the most negative impact on the market, in which MWG led the way when it decreased by 2.6% and took away nearly 0.5 points from the general index, DGW decreased by 2.53%, TTH decreased by 5.88%, TNA decreased by 3.25%. On the contrary, PIT increased by the ceiling, FRT increased by 0.07%, PET increased by 1.35%, PSD increased by 6.16% but the impact was insignificant.

The chemical group was also in red, especially GVR leading the market decline when it took 0.8 points off the general index. After an impressive increase, the steel group also faced pressure when the giant HPG decreased by 1.12%, HSG decreased by 2.34%, NKG decreased by 0.2%, VGS decreased by 1.17%. However, the codes POM, TLH, HSV, SMC in the steel group still ended the session in green.

In the banking group, 3 codes TCB, VCB, LPB were in the top 10 with positive impacts on the general market. However, the remaining stocks were mostly not very positive, so the general index of the banking group still decreased by 0.3%.

The total value of matched orders in today's session was VND27,864 billion, down 4%, of which the value of matched orders on the HoSE floor reached VND24,897 billion, down 2%. In the VN30 group, liquidity reached VND10,799 billion.

Foreign investors net sold for the second consecutive session with a value of 160.8 billion VND today, of which this group disbursed 2,076 billion VND and sold 2,237 billion VND.

The codes that were sold strongly were VHM 216 billion VND, VIX 116 billion VND, FUEVFVND fund 61 billion VND, VCI 55 billion VND, PVS 38 billion VND,... On the contrary, the codes that were mainly bought were NLG 85 billion VND, SSI 72 billion VND, CTG 71 billion VND, DGC 49 billion VND, VRE 42 billion VND,... .
