More than 2,800 job positions for tourism students right after graduation

On March 13, Hue College of Tourism held a Graduation Ceremony and Job Fair 2024 for students trained at the unit.

Hue College of Tourism was established in 1999, currently training 14 College level programs; 8 Intermediate level programs, 7 Elementary level training programs and implementing short-term training programs according to social needs. 2024 is also the second year the school has enrolled and is training intermediate level for junior high school graduates who both receive vocational training and study culture according to the general education program.

Over 24 years of establishment and development, the school has provided thousands of tourism human resources at all levels according to the needs of businesses and society, contributing significantly to the development of the country's tourism industry in general and Thua Thien Hue province in particular.

As a public school under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with training quality affirmed over the years, Hue College of Tourism has been approved by the Government to develop as one of the high-quality vocational schools. At the same time, the school has also been selected by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs as one of the training facilities for 5 key international-level occupations.

At the graduation ceremony held this morning, Hue College of Tourism awarded diplomas to 121 students; including 109 college students and 12 intermediate students; commended 27 students with excellent achievements in studying, training and volunteering activities for the community.

The leaders of Hue College of Tourism said that some outstanding points of the school's training activities in the 2021-2024 school year are demonstrated through the development and promulgation of training programs according to the national qualification framework and applying Australian, German, and ASEAN standards. The system of textbooks and learning materials is regularly improved and perfected in the direction of improving practical and practical capacity and linking with business operating standards through the "dual training" method (combining training and assessment at school and businesses).

In addition, teaching activities associated with practical environments, extracurricular activities and group discussions are focused on by the school and are increasingly enriched, updated and diversified... During the training process, students are not only equipped with knowledge, skills and professional working attitudes but also have the opportunity to practice and improve their professional skills at 4-5 star hotels and high-end resorts. In addition, the school's Tourism Practice Center (Villa Hue Hotel) operates according to the "School - Hotel" model with 4-star standards, the most modern and synchronized in Vietnam.

Along with training activities, the school pays great attention to orientation, consulting, and job introduction. Up to now, the school has signed Memorandums of Cooperation with more than 34 enterprises in the fields of tourism, services, foreign language training facilities; and foreign labor recruitment to promptly inform about human resource recruitment needs.

Immediately after the graduation ceremony, Hue College of Tourism coordinated with other units to organize the 2024 Job Fair. The fair had 36 domestic and foreign enterprises and units registered to participate in recruitment such as: Vinpearl Golf, Sun World, Mikazuki, Vedana Lagoon Resort & Spa, Indochine Palace, ... and recruitment corporations working in Germany, Japan, Korea. With the need to recruit more than 2,845 job positions, the fair helped each student have 18 opportunities to choose a job position right after graduation.
