Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association congratulates Lao Embassy on the 70th anniversary of the Party's founding

On March 20 in Hanoi, a delegation of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association (Association) led by Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, former Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos, former Deputy Head of the Central External Relations Commission, and Vice President of the Association, came to congratulate the Lao Embassy in Vietnam on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (March 22, 1955 - March 22, 2025).

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung sent his congratulations to Ms. Khamphao Ernthavanh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam, along with all staff of the Embassy and the Lao people.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized that the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam have the same origin from the Indochinese Communist Party founded by President Ho Chi Minh. The two parties fought together for independence and freedom and accompanied each other on the path of national development. Despite many challenges, the two parties have persistently strived for the prosperity of each country, continuing to strengthen the close and loyal relationship between the two peoples.

He believes that under the wise leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Laos will continue to develop sustainably, bringing an increasingly prosperous and happy life to the people. At the same time, he affirmed that the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association will always make every effort to foster the special solidarity between the two countries, contributing to promoting the increasingly sustainable and profound development of relations between the two countries.

In response, Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Khamphao Ernthavanh, on behalf of all staff of the Embassy, ​​respectfully thanked the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association for their best wishes. The Ambassador emphasized that the relationship between the two Parties, the two States and the two peoples is special and rare in the world. Despite many difficulties and challenges, the two Parties have always accompanied and supported each other from the period of fighting for independence to the current cause of national construction, defense and development.

Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh hopes that the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association will continue to promote its role as a bridge, maintain strong relations between the two countries, and support the Embassy in activities to enhance friendly cooperation. The Ambassador affirmed that the Lao Party, State and people always appreciate Vietnam's assistance and hope that Vietnam will continue to accompany and support Laos in the development process.

Previously, on March 19, Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Social Affairs, President of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association sent a congratulatory letter to Mr. Boviengkham Vongdara, member of the Central Executive Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Minister of Technology and Communications, President of the Central Committee of the Laos - Vietnam Friendship Association on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.

In the letter, Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh expressed his joy at the achievements that the Lao people have made under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, from defending and building the country to developing the economy, expanding foreign relations and enhancing international status. He believes that Laos will continue to develop sustainably, successfully implementing the goals of the Resolution of the 11th National Congress and the 9th Five-Year Socio-Economic Development Plan, towards the 12th National Congress of the Party.

Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh also emphasized the important role of the Vietnam - Laos and Laos - Vietnam Friendship Associations in strengthening the special solidarity between the two countries. On this occasion, he expressed his hope that the two Associations would continue to closely coordinate and organize many practical activities, contributing to strengthening the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
