On August 19, the Army Academy organized a training course on ethnic knowledge for 100 students who are officers, lecturers and staff of the academy.

Major General Dau Van Nam, Deputy Commissar of the Army Academy, said: "As a unit located in Lam Dong province, where 47 ethnic groups live together, over the years, the Army Academy has regularly grasped and seriously implemented the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies on ethnic groups and ethnic affairs. Through many practical and specific actions, the academy has actively contributed to economic development, hunger eradication, poverty reduction and building a solid national security and defense posture of the locality."
According to Major General Dau Van Nam, currently, in response to the requirements of innovation and improvement of the quality of ethnic work and mass mobilization work, it is important and necessary to foster and improve knowledge and skills in conducting ethnic work, especially knowledge about culture, customs, new policies of the Party and State on ethnic groups for the staff, lecturers and employees of the academy.

During the 5-day course, students attending the class were introduced to the following topics: Comprehensive content on ethnic issues and ethnic affairs; overview of ethnic minorities in Vietnam; the Party's viewpoints and guidelines on ethnic issues and ethnic affairs; laws and policies of the State on socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas; State management of ethnic culture; national defense and security work in ethnic minority and mountainous areas...
