The Party Committee and Command of Military Region 7 held a handover conference for the positions of Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 7 on March 6th. General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, and Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, attended and chaired the conference.
Based on the proposal of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 59 dated January 9th regarding the retirement of Lieutenant General Tran Hoai Trung, Political Commissar of Military Region 7; and Decision No. 385 dated February 24th appointing Major General Tran Vinh Ngoc, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 7, to the position of Political Commissar of Military Region 7.

The conference heard reports on the handover of the positions of Party Committee Secretary and Political Commissar of the Military Region, the tasks already completed, and the key tasks for 2025. The delegates unanimously agreed on the handover contents.
In his address at the conference, General Trinh Van Quyet acknowledged and highly appreciated the invaluable contributions of Lieutenant General Tran Hoai Trung to the army in general and Military Region 7 in particular over the past period. He also congratulated Lieutenant General Tran Hoai Trung on successfully completing the tasks assigned by the Party, State, and Army over the past 43 years.
The Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army expressed his wish that Lieutenant General Tran Hoai Trung would continue to uphold the traditions of the army, the traditions of Military Region 7, and contribute even more ideas to the cause of building the army, developing the armed forces of Military Region 7 and the locality to become increasingly prosperous.
