Accelerate important project progress
The Nguyen Sy Sach extended road project (Vinh city, Nghe An) is considered as the "arrow to expand Vinh urban space". The road has a total length of more than 6.3 km, stretching through the communes of Hung Loc, Hung Hoa and Hung Dung ward. The starting point of the main route is Km0+00 (intersection with Nguyen Phong Sac road), the end point is Km6+327.04 (connecting to the Lam River road). This is also an extremely important traffic route, connecting the center of Vinh city with the Lam River dike road, connecting Cua Lo beach tourist area and Cua Hoi bridge connecting to Ha Tinh province.
The project was started in 2018, with the aim of ensuring a synchronous technical infrastructure system, forming an architectural landscape axis for the eastern area of the city. Thereby creating a highlight, opening up opportunities to attract investment, contributing to promoting socio-economic development for the city. However, due to problems related to cemetery land resettlement, determining the origin of land for compensation and site clearance... the project could not be completed on time and had to be extended.
Recently, informing the press, the representative of Vinh City's leadership, Mr. Nguyen Sy Dieu - Vice Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee affirmed: " By the end of December, at the latest in early January 2024, all site clearance will be completed. When the site is available, with this construction volume, I believe that the contractor will complete the route in the first quarter of 2024. "
Mr. Nguyen Sy Dieu also added that the city is currently in the process of carrying out the next procedures to continue implementing phase 2 of the project by mid-2024, which is to expand the entire Nguyen Sy Sach street to both sides. Nguyen Sy Sach is also one of the largest streets in the city, stretching over 6.3km, passing through a very large area while there is no construction planning on both sides. This is also a great potential for investors to continue investing in the city. Especially large projects that help the city become the center of the North Central region in the fields of finance, trade, tourism, science - technology, etc.
On the contractor side, according to Mr. Le Van Huu - Construction Site Commander of Nguyen Sy Sach Street, the contractor hopes to receive the site from the remaining households soon. Once the site is available, the contractor will bring in machinery, equipment, and human resources, ensuring the earliest progress to hand over to the investor, the City People's Committee.
On the local side, people are looking forward to the extension of Nguyen Sy Sach Street being opened every day. Many households are willing to quickly hand over the land to support the locality in developing traffic infrastructure to facilitate travel and promote local socio-economic development. "I agree with the government's policy of building a road, opening the road soon so that people and my family can travel happily", said Ms. Vuong Thi Lien, Phong Quang hamlet, Hung Hoa commune, Vinh city.
Completing Nguyen Sy Sach Street - the arrow to expand Vinh urban space
In the province's development plan, Nghe An identified the extension of Nguyen Sy Sach Street as one of the important "arrows" to expand Vinh's urban space. This is a direction where land funds are still quite abundant, but infrastructure is not yet commensurate with the potential geographical position of the area. The completion of investment and construction and the opening of the road will stimulate "big guys" to choose Vinh city to invest in developing large-scale projects. Initially, we can mention large projects such as Eco Central Park or the city's 100ha regulating lake project funded by the World Bank.
Over the years, Nguyen Sy Sach Street has played an important role in supporting the development of the Northeast of Vinh City. With many headquarters and bank offices located on the street, Nguyen Sy Sach Street is considered the financial and banking street of Vinh. Not only that, this is also one of the streets with many specialized products, especially construction material services from high-end furniture to brick and tile products.
With its inherent strong development, Nguyen Sy Sach Street and its extension when completed and opened will certainly promote socio-economic development, contributing to changing the urban face of the entire eastern area of Vinh city.
