At the regular meeting in October, the People's Committee of Nghe An province approved the Draft Urban Development Program of Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2050. With the Project to build a city of light in the 2024-2025 period, Vinh City aims to: standardize existing "street lighting"; enhance the appearance of the city at night; bring "correct and sufficient" light back to public spaces with high usage value; ensure urban aesthetics, save energy, and promote the development of the night-time economy.
Accordingly, the lighting system in Vinh City will be invested in each category, including: street lighting, architectural lighting of buildings; landscape lighting, commercial lighting, event lighting - Tet holidays.

According to the representative of Vinh City Urban Management Department, this project is expected to elevate and contribute to defining the unique identity of Vinh city in the fields of economy, culture, society; improve the quality of life for residents and tourists.
