(Dan Tri) - Miss Ngoc Han said that painter Le Thiet Cuong allowed her to use paintings on the theme "Tet Ty" to put on ao dai.
Recently, the opening ceremony of the Tet Ty exhibition of the G39 group took place at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum. The exhibition displayed 80 works of diverse types and materials including gouache paintings, torn paper, wood carvings, acrylic, oil painting, lacquer, ceramic statues, iron statues, etc.
Participating artists include Binh Nhi, Vuong Linh, Le Thu Huong, Hoang Phuong Lien, Nguyen Minh, Nguyen Quoc Thang, Tran Hong Duc, Le Thiet Cuong, Tao Linh...
In addition to the image of snakes in paintings and statues by artist Le Thiet Cuong, or in ceramic vases and jars of Huong Canh by author Nguyen Hong Quang, other works in the exhibition paint a picture of nature spreading out, bustling with colorful landscapes and people.

Here, Miss Ngoc Han took on the role of MC of the event and also served as media consultant of the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts.
The beauty queen also has 4 Ao Dai works from the gouache paintings on the theme "Tet Ty" by curator and artist Le Thiet Cuong. These are 4 designs in the collection "Net Ha Thanh" that Ngoc Han plans to launch during the Tet At Ty.
Ngoc Han said that she and painter Le Thiet Cuong have had a close relationship since collaborating to organize the Da Lat Meeting exhibition in 2022. They have worked together on many art projects.
"Painter Le Thiet Cuong is a difficult and straightforward person, so at first, I was not used to his personality. But gradually, I understood and learned from him a lot of useful knowledge about Vietnamese fine arts.
Thanks to his strict comments, I had more motivation to develop myself and decided to return to Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts to study for a master's degree in Theory and History of Applied Arts," she shared.

Ngoc Han herself really likes the minimalist painting style of artist Le Thiet Cuong. She once asked the artist to let her use some of his paintings about Hanoi to put in her ao dai collection and he agreed. Knowing that Ngoc Han was born in 1989 (the year of the Snake), artist Le Thiet Cuong let her admire paintings on the theme of "Tet Ty" to put on ao dai.
The process of printing Le Thiet Cuong's paintings onto fabric was not easy. The paintings were horizontal, while the ao dai was vertical, so it was difficult to arrange the layout for printing. The beauty queen spent a lot of time rearranging the layout and colors, even putting 2-3 paintings on the same piece of fabric to make the ao dai.
The ao dai designs introduced in the Tet Ty exhibition are made of cotton and silk. These are two environmentally friendly materials, creating a comfortable feeling for the wearer. As for the scarf accessory, the beauty queen used silk chiffon to make the scarf soft and fluttery. The exhibition will end on January 3.
