Coach Troussier eliminates 5 more players, finalizes Vietnam team list tomorrow morning

Coach Philippe Troussier will announce the list of players registered for the Vietnam team tomorrow morning, November 15, before the technical meeting between the two teams and the organizing committee. According to the regulations, the French coach must eliminate 5 more players. Currently, the Vietnam team has 28 players.

Before going to the Philippines, Coach Troussier decided to remove Truong Tien Anh, Pham Van Luan, Luong Duy Cuong and Le Van Do from the list. Eight young players who trained with the Vietnamese team were also not retained.

Coach Troussier is preparing to finalize the registration list for the match against the Philippines.

In general, the list of the Vietnamese team is still a squad of players who have affirmed their class over many years such as Dang Van Lam, Que Ngoc Hai, Bui Hoang Viet Anh, Nguyen Thanh Binh, Do Hung Dung, Nguyen Tuan Anh, Van Toan and Tien Linh.

However, Coach Troussier still made changes when some young stars could be used. Tuan Tai, Dinh Bac, Van Khang and Thai Son are in the group of players under 23 years old who can start or come on as substitutes depending on the nature and development of the match.

In this training session, two players who made notable returns were Vu Van Thanh and Nguyen Van Quyet. The Hanoi FC striker was hardly noticed by coach Troussier, but he was unexpectedly called up and included in the list to go to the Philippines. Van Quyet has a different playing style from many of his teammates in the same position and he can provide more personnel options for the Vietnamese team.

In Van Thanh's case, his brilliant performance in the V.League helped him convince coach Troussier. He even eliminated Truong Tien Anh and put his trust in the student born in 1996.

The defender of the Hanoi Police Club expressed his determination: " The Vietnamese team entered the match with a relaxed mentality but also with a bit of pressure. That is natural when entering a big match. The whole team is determined to unite and overcome this difficult period. With a victory, the Vietnamese team will relieve the pressure ."

The match between Vietnam and the Philippines took place on November 16.
