Messi has not played for Inter Miami for nearly a month, causing many to worry about the Argentine superstar's fitness ahead of the match against Uruguay in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in South America.

However, coach Lionel Scaloni reassured fans by affirming that striker number 10 is ready to play in the best condition. The head coach of the Argentina team said: "Messi is very good. He has trained well in the past days.

Although Messi has only played one match in the past 25 days, he has been training normally. Therefore, I can confirm that Messi is still healthy and doing a good job."

In recent times, the story of Messi winning the Golden Ball has become a controversial topic for many people. Many opinions say that Haaland deserves to win this title. Speaking about this issue, coach Scaloni affirmed that his student deserves the honor.

Coach Scaloni added: "Some people draw up stories to argue. But I think there is no need to argue about whether Messi deserves to win the Ballon d'Or or not. For me, Leo is always the best."

Both Messi and Di Maria are expected to play the rest of the 2024 Copa America before announcing their retirement from the Argentina national team. Coach Scaloni spoke out on this issue: "We still have a lot of work to do before the Copa America. I don't like to reminisce or think.

I don't think much about Messi retiring from the national team. Neither does he. Let's enjoy what Messi and Di Maria bring while they are still dedicated to the team."

Coach Scaloni shared about MU's decision to drop Alejandro Garnacho: "It was a technical decision. We did not want to call up players and not use them. Garnacho did not play much this season. I confirm that Garnacho is still in my sights with future plans."

Argentina will face two tough matches in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay (November 17) and Brazil (November 22). Coach Scaloni is very excited about these big matches.

He added: "The Argentina team has shown that it will be a tough opponent for any team. We are ready to compete and complete the task. For now, I am not thinking about the opponent Brazil when entering the match with Uruguay."

The match between Argentina and Uruguay will take place at 7am on November 17 at Alberto José Armando Stadium (Buenos Aires, Argentina). After that, coach Scaloni and his students will visit Brazil at 7:30am on November 22.
