After receiving information and searching, the authorities have collected the remains of 3 martyrs whose names, ages, hometowns and units have not been identified in the areas of Binh Hoa, Vinh Tuong ward, Long My town; Hamlet 9, Thuan Hung commune, Long My district and Hamlet 8, Luong Nghia commune, Long My district.

Through witnesses and remaining relics, it is proven that the martyrs fought and heroically sacrificed during the resistance war against America to save the country.

At the memorial service, in a solemn atmosphere, leaders of Hau Giang province, the Provincial Military Command and departments, branches and localities respectfully offered flowers, incense and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the merits and sacrifices of the martyrs.

According to comrade Dong Van Thanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province, our Party and people are always proud and infinitely grateful to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their blood and bones to gain and maintain independence for the Fatherland, bringing freedom and democracy to the people.

The war has long since ended, the terrain and landmarks of the old battlefield have changed a lot, historical witnesses are old and their memories have declined, so determining information to survey and search for martyrs' remains is not without difficulty.

Although Hau Giang province has made many efforts to collect many martyrs' remains to bring them to martyrs' cemeteries, there are still many martyrs who remain and have not had the opportunity to be brought back with their comrades.
