In particular, folk dance also helps relieve stress, improve health and connect the community, thereby creating a joyful, vibrant and memorable atmosphere in every activity.
Recently, the 2025 Di An City Folk Dance - Rhythmic Gymnastics - Line Dance Competition took place successfully, attracting the participation of nearly 400 contestants from 29 teams. This is one of the activities organized by the Di An City Center for Culture, Information and Sports. This activity aims to improve the spiritual and cultural life of the people, creating an atmosphere to welcome many important events of 2025.
In the bustling atmosphere, the teams brought special folk dance performances. One of the impressive teams was the Folk Dance Team of Group 29, Thong Nhat 1 Quarter, Di An Ward, under the leadership of team leader Nguyen Thi Van. Ms. Van said that the team had practiced diligently for a month to prepare for the performance "Liberating the South". With dances recreating the heroic spirit of our army and people towards liberating the South, the team conveyed a message calling for patriotism and enthusiasm of the youth in the cause of protecting and building the country.
Another team that made a strong impression was the Red Rose Group of Tan Hiep Ward, with the performance “Youth of Ho Chi Minh Generation”. Ms. Le Thi Loan, the team leader, shared: “Although we are all middle-aged workers, through evening practice sessions, we not only improve our health but also feel the joy and youthfulness and dynamism in each dance. Through this performance, we hope to send a message about the enthusiasm and dedication of the young generation”.
This year's competition has created a useful playground, not only for the teams to demonstrate their abilities, but also to bring people closer together. Mr. Nguyen Truong Chinh, Deputy Director of the Center for Culture, Information and Sports of Di An City, said that the 2025 Folk Dance - Rhythmic Gymnastics - Line Dance Competition is an activity that helps to improve health and demonstrate solidarity and self-confidence in group activities. This is a cultural and sports activity that contributes to creating a vibrant atmosphere in the community.
Meanwhile, Mr. Tran Hung, referee and coach of Dancesport and international dance, commented that this year's competition has high professional quality with many performances that are invested in and staged very elaborately and meaningfully. "The folk dance movement in Di An City is developing strongly, attracting many people to participate. I hope that in the future there will be more exchange and learning activities between the competing teams so that the movement can develop more and more strongly", Mr. Tran Hung added.
With the continuous development of sports and cultural activities like this, Di An City will increasingly become a bright spot in building the spiritual and cultural life of the people; at the same time, creating conditions for each individual and each community to become more connected and develop more strongly.
As a result of the competition, the Black Panther Team won the first prize. The second prize went to the Forever Youth Dance Team (Tay B Quarter, Dong Hoa Ward). The third prize went to the RBC Team. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 7 consolation prizes to the teams with high achievements at the competition; the Choreography prize went to the Black Panther Team and the Style prize went to the Le Phong Dance Team. |
