Warm houses of military-civilian love

Việt NamViệt Nam08/04/2025

In just a few days, Mrs. Luu Thi Leo’s house will have a porch, a kitchen, a toilet and a yard that will be reinforced with cement. All of this work will be carried out by the Muong Khuong Border Guard Station with socialized resources from officers and soldiers and the contributions of benefactors. The completed project will help Mrs. Leo’s family – a poor household in Pao Tung village, Tung Chung Pho commune – have a better life.

“I am old and my family is poor, but every year the officers care, visit and give me gifts, especially the border guards. I am excited to receive support to repair my house, I am no longer worried,” Ms. Leo shared.

Together with Mrs. Luu Thi Leo's family, Muong Muong Border Guard Station mobilized social support to support 2 poor households with especially difficult circumstances in Tung Chung Pho commune with 160 million VND to rebuild their houses. Up to now, 1 house has been completed and handed over for use, creating motivation for people to strive to improve their lives.

Ms. Dao Minh Nguyet, representative of the Vinh Phuc province philanthropist group, said: “Through the program, we are very grateful for the connection and support of the border guards, which helped the group fulfill its wish. We hope that everyone's love for the people in the highlands will spread, and many difficult situations will be helped.”

Mr. Vuong Su Ngoc, Vice Chairman of Tung Chung Pho Commune People's Committee, said: "In 2025, 118 houses will be demolished. In addition to the State's support policy and the participation of local authorities, the Border Guard Station will contribute directly to support the people, helping them to easily demolish temporary houses."

Along with supporting Tung Chung Pho commune, officers and soldiers of Muong Khuong Border Guard Station also actively supported working days to help families in the district speed up the progress of house construction, with the spirit of "leaving no one behind".

Captain Vang Van Vinh, Deputy Political Commissar of Muong Khuong Border Guard Station, said: "Muong Khuong Border Guard Station has actively deployed forces to grasp the local situation, check households with especially difficult circumstances and shortages of people to deploy forces, coordinate with local Party committees and authorities as well as forces stationed in the area to help households."

Working together with the greatest efforts, warm families of military-civilian solidarity are multiplying in the highland border villages. People are cared for and supported to build a prosperous and happy life, feel secure in their land and village, and actively coordinate with the functional forces to effectively carry out the work of ensuring security and order in the locality.
