Lam Dong police launch special political activities

(LĐ online) - On the afternoon of April 8, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of Lam Dong Provincial Police held a ceremony to launch a special political activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025); the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Tradition Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

The special political activity will be carried out from March 2025 to the end of March 2026 with the theme "People's Public Security cultivates ethics, practices manners, respects honor, solidarity, innovation, sets an example, discipline, and responsibility, forgets oneself for the country, and serves the people".

The purpose of the activity is to create strong, clear, and substantial changes in self-cultivation, training, preserving honor and self-respect, being exemplary in self-reflection, self-correction, self-criticism and criticism, self-identification, and fighting against signs of degradation in political ideology, morality, lifestyle, etc., contributing to building a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern People's Public Security force.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department requested that Party committees, leaders and commanders of agencies and units grasp the purpose, requirements, content, form and implementation measures to have appropriate plans.

Each officer and soldier must firmly grasp and be imbued with the tradition of the People's Public Security and the six teachings of Uncle Ho, overcome the fear of hardship and lack of responsibility in work and fight against individualism, be exemplary in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws; fight against and refute erroneous and hostile viewpoints, protect the prestige and honor of the Party and the honor of the People's Public Security.

The Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department requested to focus on 4 main contents in the special political activity. In particular, the Party Committee, leaders, commanders, especially the heads, must organize, direct, and develop a plan to implement the political activity seriously, in accordance with the reality of their units, assigning each leader and each commander to be in charge and organizing the implementation according to each group, team, and topic with a cohesive and similar nature, paying attention to a number of issues such as the requirement to build and rectify the Party, build a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, modern People's Public Security force, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation, being exemplary in implementing the Party's policies, upholding the spirit of responsibility to serve the Fatherland and the People.

At the same time, Party committees, leaders, especially heads, must set an example in politics, ethics, lifestyle, style, self-criticism and criticism, relations with the people, responsibility in work, sense of organization, discipline, internal solidarity, superiors must set an example, set an example for subordinates to follow with the motto "Above set an exemplary example, below actively follow"; cadres, party members, and soldiers must set an example in their families, at their places of residence, and at work for the people to follow; engrave in their minds and effectively implement the advice of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong "Honor is the most sacred and noble thing" and the motto of action "When the people need it, when the people are in trouble, there is the police".

Each individual must consciously cultivate and train, improve political capacity, promote the spirit of self-criticism and criticism, self-reflection, self-correction, self-identification, prevention, and fight against signs of ideological, political, moral, and lifestyle degradation, overcome signs of fear of difficulties, lack of responsibility in work, and fight against individualism. In organizing and implementing, there must be a specific division of labor in leadership, direction, inspection, supervision, and evaluation of results in the spirit of clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear time, and clear results.

At the launching ceremony of the special emulation campaign, authorized by the Minister of Public Security, Colonel Le Hong Phong - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department presented a Letter of Merit and a bonus of 20 million VND from the Ministry of Public Security to the Investigation Security Department; presented a Letter of Merit and a bonus of 15 million VND to each unit of the Internal Security Department, the Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department for their outstanding achievements in the fight against, arrest and prosecution of subjects with the crime of "Making, storing, disseminating and propagating information and documents aimed at opposing the Socialist Republic of Vietnam".

The Ministry of Public Security also awarded a Letter of Merit and a bonus of 20 million VND to the Criminal Police Department; a Letter of Merit and 15 million VND to the Staff Department and the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention; a Letter of Merit and 10 million VND to the Police of Ward 11, Da Lat City and the Information Center of Lam Dong Provincial Police, for their achievements in fighting and eliminating a group of subjects engaged in money laundering with a transaction amount of about 2 trillion VND, arresting 23 subjects, seizing 3 laptops, 30 mobile phones and many other evidences related to the case.
