The initial success of Tunnels: Sun in the Dark is not only good news for the production crew but also a positive signal for Vietnamese cinema.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter , screenwriter Khanh Ly said that war movies are often picky about audiences, but the movie Tunnels: Sun in the Dark is an exception.

"Not only the elderly and middle-aged audiences went to see the film, but many young people also lined up to buy tickets to see historical films, which is a good sign. It is proof that Vietnamese audiences still have affection for meaningful stories, made with passion and meticulousness. We are not afraid of the audience turning their backs, we are just afraid of making bad films," Khanh Ly said.

Director Do Thanh Hai also gave many compliments after watching Bui Thac Chuyen's film. The male director said that the film has good performance, beautiful and realistic scenes.

"With Tunnels: Sun in the Dark, Bui Thac Chuyen continues to show his passion for cinema as he did for 11 years pursuing the story of the people's war in the resilient land of Cu Chi.

From a documentary project to a 128-minute feature film, the director's journey to become a professional is truly admirable. The film's atmosphere, staging, and good acting create many interesting details to better understand the lives of heroes. The characters are vivid, fighting in a dark matrix of trenches, but that is how they choose to live and cherish love every day," said Do Thanh Hai.

People's Artist Xuan Bac hopes that audiences, especially young people, will choose to watch films about war like Tunnels: Sun in the Dark .

"Young audiences with patriotic hearts and a passion for traditional humanistic values should watch films about war like this to love our nation's history and culture more," said People's Artist Xuan Bac.

Tunnels: Sun in the Dark revolves around a 21-man guerrilla group led by Bay Theo (Thai Hoa). He and his teammates are assigned to protect the area for the strategic intelligence group.

The film brings together a cast of actors including: Thai Hoa, Quang Tuan, Ho Thu Anh, Hang Lamoon, Hoang Minh Triet, Nhat Y...
