Thanh Hoa Customs collects more than 2,800 billion VND in budget revenue

(HQ Online) - As of February 26, 2024, Thanh Hoa Customs Department has collected 2,835.1 billion VND for the state budget, reaching 20.9% of the plan (13,550 billion VND), equal to 99.5% over the same period.

Of which, VAT revenue from imported crude oil of Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited is the revenue source accounting for the largest proportion of the total state budget revenue of Thanh Hoa Customs Department. Revenue from crude oil reached 2,354.9 billion VND, accounting for 83.4% of the total state budget revenue of the unit, with an average of 292.5 billion VND per imported oil shipment.

By mid-February 2024, Thanh Hoa Customs Department had completed procedures for about 250 import-export businesses, with 15,164 customs declarations, up 30% over the same period in 2023; the value of import-export turnover reached 1,848 billion USD, up 25.9% over the same period in 2023.

According to Thanh Hoa Customs Department, in 2024, the unit is assigned the task of collecting and submitting to the State budget 13,550 billion VND. With the determination to strive to complete the assigned target, Thanh Hoa Customs Department has developed a plan to synchronously and drastically implement solutions to facilitate trade, improve the effectiveness of state management, and prevent revenue loss in implementing the task of collecting the State budget in 2024.

Accordingly, Thanh Hoa Customs Department has assigned its affiliated units to proactively implement solutions to increase revenue and prevent loss of state budget revenue in accordance with the characteristics and situation of their units; proactively assess the impact of international integration commitments on state budget revenue, closely follow the developments in world oil prices to promptly assess the level of impact; grasp revenue sources, the implementation of new projects, import-export activities of enterprises operating in the management area, promptly have solutions to promote and nurture revenue sources, ensure correct and sufficient collection.
