Quang Ninh Customs processed procedures for 22,429 declarations

(HQ Online) - In the first two months of 2024, Quang Ninh Customs carried out customs procedures for 22,429 declarations of 727 enterprises, with a total turnover of all types reaching 3.06 billion USD.

Compared to the same period last year, there was an increase of 53% in declarations, 48% in turnover, and 33% in the number of enterprises.

Also in the first two months of the year, this unit carried out procedures for 75,811 vehicles entering and leaving the country, 1.02 million passengers, an increase of 22% in vehicles, an increase of 2,369% in passengers compared to the same period last year.

According to the Quang Ninh Customs Department, with the goal of improving effectiveness, ensuring state management of customs, creating maximum convenience for people and businesses participating in import-export activities in the management area, the unit has directed its affiliated units to strengthen customs management, inspection and supervision; promptly detect violations of goods origin, intellectual property violations, product labels, illegal transportation, etc.

The unit has focused on improving the efficiency of goods inspection and supervision using container scanners to meet the requirements of standardizing customs clearance procedures according to WTO and ASEAN commitments; contributing to effectively implementing the reform and modernization of customs inspection, creating maximum convenience for import and export activities of the business community.

At the same time, actively coordinate to implement the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch on continuing to resolutely and effectively carry out tasks and solutions to remove difficulties for production and business of people and enterprises.
