Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee, informed that in the first 6 months of the year, the city's socio-economic situation continued to develop strongly, ranking among the leading provinces and cities in the country.

Total budget revenue reached over VND 60,800 billion, an increase of 34% over the same period in 2023. Of which, domestic revenue was over VND 29,800 billion (2.1 times higher), revenue from import-export activities was over VND 30,000 billion (up 4%).

Economic growth rate (GRDP) is estimated to increase by 10.32%, ranking 5th in the country, ranking first among 5 centrally-run cities, and the provincial competitiveness index in 2023 ranks 3rd in the country.

The city has increased investment resources in urban renovation and modernization, new rural construction and digital transformation.
