On the morning of January 23, speaking with Dan Tri reporter, a representative of Road Traffic Police Team No. 5 (Traffic Police Department, Hanoi Police) said that the accident occurred at around 2:00 a.m. the same day on Vinh Tuy bridge.

At the time of the accident, a car with license plate 30K-186.xx (driver's identity unknown) was traveling on Vinh Tuy bridge, from Hai Ba Trung district to Long Bien district, when it suddenly collided with another car (license plate, driver's identity unknown) traveling in the same direction.
The strong collision caused the car with license plate 30K-186.xx to overturn, lying close to the median strip between the lanes for cars and motorbikes; the remaining car was deformed and had a broken wheel axle.

"Fortunately, the incident did not cause any casualties. The cause of the accident is being investigated," said a representative of Traffic Police Team No. 5.
At the scene, debris from the accident was scattered across the road, stretching about 50 meters.

After the accident, 2 ambulances and medical staff arrived at the scene. Traffic Police Team No. 5 was present to investigate the scene and direct traffic to avoid congestion.
