Hanoi parades Ao Dai on the streets on National Day September 2

The program “Ao Dai connecting tourism and heritage” took place from 5:30 to 8:45 on September 1st, starting at Thang Long Imperial Citadel. More than 100 people, including both men and women wearing traditional Ao Dai, participated in the parade.

The parade passed through the streets with many tourist attractions in Hanoi such as the Thang Long Imperial Citadel; Monument to Heroes and Martyrs; Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Square; National Assembly Building; Presidential Palace; North Gate; Hang Dau Water Tower; Long Bien Bridge; Quan Chuong Gate; Dong Xuan Market; Hanoi Flag Tower. The program attracted the participation of officials, civil servants of agencies and units in Hanoi, along with a large number of people in the capital, domestic and international friends.

Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism Tran Trung Hieu said that through organizing the program to promote and introduce Hanoi tourist destinations, it is also a new experience activity to attract a large number of domestic and international tourists to the capital Hanoi, thereby stimulating tourism demand.

The combination of cycling and wearing Ao Dai to explore typical cultural heritage sites in Hanoi has many profound meanings, contributing to connecting tourism and heritage in a unique and effective way. Thereby honoring traditional and modern beauty; connecting tourists with heritage; encouraging sustainable tourism by protecting the environment and preserving heritage.

“Through this activity, the capital's tourism industry creates beautiful images of Hanoi, while promoting community spirit and raising awareness of heritage protection,” Mr. Hieu emphasized.

This is also a new experience activity attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists to the capital Hanoi; exploiting and honoring the traditional Ao Dai of the Vietnamese people associated with heritage and tourism to preserve and develop traditional cultural values ​​of the nation; creating opportunities to promote and introduce Hanoi tourist destinations.

At the same time, it is the opening activity for a series of events within the framework of the program "Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2024" connecting Ao Dai with Hanoi's heritage and tourist destinations.
