Below are the most exciting Lunar New Year events in Singapore that Vietnamese visitors can participate in, according to suggestions from the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
Chinatown Spring Festival
Time: 19/1-9/3
The Chinatown Spring Festival is one of the two biggest Lunar New Year celebrations in Singapore. Inspired by the creative spirit of students from the Singapore University of Technology and Design, the streets of the neighbourhood are elaborately decorated to reflect the theme of “Seize Opportunities and Achieve Success”. Through this, visitors are inspired to embrace new beginnings and gain the motivation to reach new heights in the coming year.

Events during the festival: Fair at Open Space (January 11-February 9); Tet Market (January 19-February 19), Food Fair on Smith Street (January 19-February 9). On weekends in January and February, there are also music and art performances.
Chinatown also features a variety of augmented reality (AR) scavenger hunts. Players will embark on a journey to find hidden clues and collect images of the 12 zodiac animals, each with a unique story in Chinese astrology.
Wan Qing Spring Festival
Time: 16/1 - 25/2
The event takes place at the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall. Visitors can admire the dragon-themed exhibits and the majesty of the animal. There are also cultural performances, workshops, and storytelling. Families will also enjoy the festival, as there are also child-friendly craft activities.

Magical Night in the Forbidden Forest
Time: 3/2
The Forbidden Forest - Magical Night Under the Starry Sky Experience is an event inspired by the famous wizard character Harry Potter. Under the guidance of Hagrid's lantern, visitors will walk through magical paths with mysterious landscapes, filled with ghostly creatures from the Harry Potter series.
