Introducing the program, Most Venerable Thich Gia Quang, Vice President of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, said: The art exchange program "Vu Lan - Filial Piety and Nation 2023" is organized with the purpose of promoting the Dharma, promoting the tradition of filial piety of the nation in general and Buddhist filial piety in particular. Strongly spreading the good values ​​of filial piety to the Buddhist community, those who love Buddhism at home and abroad.

Vu Lan Festival - filial piety, has become a beautiful traditional culture, is a part of the filial piety culture of the Vietnamese people, so that everyone can realize that filial piety is very important in the life of each person, each family and the whole community, society, and nation. "Therefore, we all have the responsibility to join hands to spread love, convey the message of sharing in life so that everyone becomes filial and happy", said Venerable Thich Gia Quang.

Most Venerable Thich Gia Quang, Vice President of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, informed the press about the organization of the Vu Lan 2023 art exchange program.

According to the organizers, the program was elaborately staged from content, sound, light, professionally designed, solemn and peaceful, rich in meaning, taking place at the Hanoi Opera House. The program is also an opportunity for units, individuals and organizations to show their concern through practical actions, demonstrating the spirit of harmony and attachment between religion and life, between Vietnamese Buddhism and the country.

Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee will spend money to give gifts and savings books to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, lonely elderly people without support and people facing difficult circumstances in life; organize incense offering ceremonies, visit martyrs' cemeteries in Con Dao, visit graves and burn incense to commemorate the graves of heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives and remained in Con Dao district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

The art exchange program to celebrate Vu Lan festival was organized annually by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha from 2014 to 2019. The program was interrupted due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The organizers hope that the program will continue to create a strong effect, spreading the noble humanistic values ​​of Buddhism in the national cultural tradition.
