Using NVIDIA’s Omniverse Blueprint, Schneider Electric and ETAP have built a digital twin of the AI factory, combining multiple inputs including mechanical, thermal, network, and electrical systems to simulate how the factory operates. This collaborative product marks a new step forward in the design and operation of AI factories by providing insights and enhanced control of electrical systems and energy demand, leading to significant improvements in operational efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.

“By partnering with Schneider Electric and ETAP, we are providing data center operators with unprecedented visibility and control of their energy systems, helping them optimize their infrastructure, accelerate AI adoption, and increase operational resilience,” said Dion Harris, senior director of AI and HPC factory solutions at NVIDIA.

While previous technologies have provided a basic, intuitive representation of the electrical system, the integration of ETAP and NVIDIA Omniverse technologies provides a comprehensive digital twin for the AI factory with multiple elements that seamlessly interact. ETAP’s advanced modeling technology will create a digital twin of the data center’s electrical infrastructure and combine it with real-time electrical system data, advanced analytics, and insights. Intelligent algorithms will analyze and predict electrical consumption and distribution patterns, providing useful, groundbreaking information on: Advanced electrical system design and simulation, flexible “What-If” scenario analysis, real-time monitoring of electrical infrastructure performance, optimizing energy efficiency, etc.

“The collaboration between Schneider Electric, ETAP and NVIDIA not only helps develop technology for data centers but also supports businesses to optimize operations and effectively manage energy needs in AI applications,” said Pankaj Sharma, Vice President of Data Center, Network and Services at Schneider Electric.
