This Vu Lan season, Ba Den Mountain (Tay Ninh) has welcomed tens of thousands of domestic and foreign visitors. In the solemn and sacred space on the mountain, long lines of people wait to receive petitions and sincerely write wishes for their parents. The bright red wishing tree on the sacred peak of Ba Mountain is a place to entrust dreams and wishes for happiness.
In the second half of August, many Tay Ninh people and tourists from provinces and cities across the country flocked to Ba Den Mountain to attend the Vu Lan festival. In just two days, August 24-25, this place attracted a large number of visitors to pray. It is expected that during the upcoming 4-day September 2 holiday, Ba Den Mountain will again welcome many groups of visitors to visit and worship.
Visiting Ba Den Mountain with her family during Vu Lan season, Ms. Hoai Anh, living in Ho Chi Minh City, shared: “The experiences here really made me choke up, remembering my parents and my childhood memories. In the sacred space of Ba Den Mountain, every second, every minute of sincerely thinking about the birth of my parents, thinking about my family are unforgettable moments.”
On the top of Ba Den Mountain, many rituals and art programs dedicated to the grace of birth were held throughout the two weekends. In the quiet and peaceful atmosphere, many people shed tears when remembering the love and merit of birth from their parents.
During this season, red roses are pinned on the shirts of the lucky children who still have their mother and father. White roses are pinned on the chests of the unfortunate people who have lost their parents, to express the best wishes to their parents.
Besides, Ba Temple and Linh Son Tien Thach ancient pagoda located halfway up the mountain associated with the legend of Linh Son Thanh Mau are also pilgrimage destinations for people to practice their vows and show filial piety to their parents.
If visiting Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, tourists will be given a “Pagoda Handbook” - a meaningful gift when visiting Ba Den Mountain on this occasion. The handbook will help readers systematize the rules and useful information when visiting the pagoda to worship Buddha. In particular, each book is blessed with peace and blessings for the recipient.
As planned, many unique art programs and a meaningful lantern offering night to celebrate National Day will take place at Ba Den Mountain on the evening of August 31 (Saturday). This is an exciting experience that visitors should not miss during the September 2 holiday.
