On March 26, the Press Center (under the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City) reported on the organization of a speaking skills class and providing information to the press in 2024.
The course took place from March 18-25, with 274 officials from departments, district, ward, commune People's Committees and organizations. Trainees were shared knowledge and experience by experts in the field of press and communication on 6 topics: Press Law, Decree 09/2017 of the Government, press relations, answering interviews, organizing press conferences, writing press releases, and handling media crises.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center, many leaders who are department directors and chairmen of district and commune People's Committees, despite being busy with work, still took time to attend the class. These include directors of the departments of Foreign Affairs, Agriculture and Rural Development, Tourism, and Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.
At the district level, there were the Chairman of District 7 People's Committee, Chairman of Binh Thanh District People's Committee, Chairman of Cu Chi District People's Committee. In addition, the Head of the Management Board of Export Processing and Industrial Zones, the Head of the Management Board of High-Tech Park, and the Commander of the Youth Volunteer Force also attended. The rate of students attending the class fully accounted for 85 - 95% of each session.
The Ho Chi Minh City Press Center proposes to continue opening more similar classes in the future, while diversifying the organization forms such as specialized classes, advanced classes, and classes for agency communication staff. In particular, the Press Center proposes to organize separate classes for specific groups of leaders of units assigned to speak.
