(NLDO) - The working trip aims to implement the Politburo's policy on building two international financial centers in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.
During his visit and work in the UK, on the evening of March 16 (local time), Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh met with officials and staff of the Embassy and the Association of Vietnamese Intellectuals in the UK.

Vietnamese Ambassador to the UK Do Minh Hung reported that there are currently about 100,000 Vietnamese people living and working in the UK, including about 12,000 students and many intellectuals and experts working at universities, research institutes and technology corporations in the UK and internationally. The Association of Vietnamese Intellectuals in the UK was established in 2020 and has so far carried out many practical and meaningful activities, contributing to promoting connection and cooperation between the two countries in education-training, science and technology.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh said that the delegation's visit to the UK this time aims to further promote the strategic partnership between the two countries. At the same time, the working trip aims to implement the Politburo's policy on building two international financial centers in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City through learning experiences and promoting cooperation for the formation and development of these two financial centers.
The UK is a very large, long-standing financial market with a lot of experience and over the past time, the UK has always accompanied and supported Vietnam in building a project to establish two financial centers; recently, a workshop on this content in Da Nang had the enthusiastic participation of experts and scientists from the UK, especially the Tony Blair Institute.
"If we are successful in implementing the two international financial centers in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang City, it will be a strong "push" for the economy to enter a new era, an era of national growth, rich development, prosperity and power" - the First Deputy Prime Minister said.

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh welcomed and highly appreciated the Association of Vietnamese Intellectuals in the UK for having held serious working sessions and seminars on the policy of establishing two international financial centers in Vietnam, with very objective and comprehensive analysis and assessment, and giving many comments and recommendations so that the two international financial centers can soon be established, put into operation and promote efficiency.
The First Deputy Prime Minister stated that entering a new era, we need a huge amount of resources for investment and development, especially resources from outside. To seek and mobilize these resources, international financial centers are an important and effective mobilization channel and play a very important role in the country's capital and financial markets.
The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister hopes that the Association of Vietnamese Intellectuals in the UK will always accompany and continue to make practical and active contributions to domestic authorities for the formation and development of international financial centers in Vietnam.
At the same time, he hoped that the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK would continue to synchronously and more drastically implement tasks and solutions to enhance cooperation with the UK in all fields, especially in the fields of economics, trade and investment, bringing the two-way trade turnover between the two countries to a more impressive figure in the coming time.
