In the drawing on October 14, 2024, ticket 386552 (F) won the special prize of 2 billion VND. The remaining ticket won the special secondary prize worth 50 million VND.

However, during the process of storing the two lottery tickets, Ms. Nguyet got them wet. Although they were dried, the winning lottery ticket was torn at the bottom below the numbers. The remaining ticket was crumpled.

Hue Lottery State Company Limited only paid the prize for the lottery ticket that won the special consolation prize and refused to pay the prize for the lottery ticket that won the special prize of 2 billion VND. The reason was that the lottery ticket was torn and not intact.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet then filed a lawsuit against Hue Lottery State Company Limited at the People's Court of Huong Thuy town, requesting a reward of 2 billion VND.

After the trial, the Trial Panel sentenced Hue Lottery State Company Limited to pay the special prize lottery ticket amount of 2 billion VND to Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet and the company also paid the first instance court fee of 72 million VND.
