"Forestival" is a main activity of the cultural project "Heart of Heritage", implemented by the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism in coordination with Viet Vision. The project was launched on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of Trang An being recognized by UNESCO as a dual world heritage - rare in the world and the only one in Vietnam.
The event will take place on Khe Coc Island – a location in the core area of Trang An, featuring a terrain of interwoven mountains and rivers. According to the plan, the stage and festival space are designed to blend in with the natural landscape, creating conditions for the audience to experience outdoor music amidst mountains and green forests.
Singer Ha Anh Tuan – the initiator of the project idea – shared: “The greatest mission of music is to bring people together. "Forestival" will be a place for artists to play with music. Tuan does not know what he will sing or who he will sing with, but he is ready to sing from beginning to end, because we are artists of freedom – freedom to love people, love nature, love Vietnamese culture”.
Joining the program, rapper Den expressed his wish that "Forestival" would become a model that could be replicated in many other heritage areas. "I used to work in the tourism industry, so I understand the value of each guest. I believe that "Forestival" will bring a special experience, where people not only enjoy music but also feel nature, cuisine, culture and love for the country," he said.
In addition to the performances, the project also includes activities that combine creativity and conservation, such as the Creative Week, where local craftsmen work with young artists to create works that are displayed on Khe Coc Island. This is how the organizers hope to connect the traditional and the contemporary, creating a cultural highlight within the heritage.
Notably, all profits from Forestival 2025 ticket sales will be donated to organizations and programs for nature – environment – heritage conservation across the country. Part of the revenue will be used to plant forests, restore ecosystems, and protect wildlife. The program also aims to become a “Green Festival”, with environmental criteria such as using clean energy, limiting plastic waste, and organizing eco-friendly transportation activities.
Ahead of the event, a promotional TVC directed by Tran Thanh Huy and Ha Anh Tuan was released, documenting the journey back to Trang An and connecting with the roots through cultural and natural values. This TVC will be broadcast at Ha Anh Tuan’s upcoming concerts and on some international flights to Vietnam.
Currently, the organizers have announced the ticket system of Forestival 2025 with 4 categories: Seed - Sprout - Tree - Forest, symbolizing the development journey of a forest. Tickets will be officially distributed through the Ticketbox platform. Detailed information on ticket prices and specific schedules will be updated in April.
