With the theme “Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Determination to win”, in 2 days (March 25-26), the Party Committee of Song Doc Border Guard Station (Ca Mau Provincial Border Guard Party Committee) held a congress for the 2025-2030 term. This is the congress that the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee chose to organize in advance to gain experience for units in the Provincial Border Guard.
The political report for the 2020-2025 term at the congress assessed that, during the past term, with a positive, proactive, united and unified spirit, the Party Committee and commanders closely followed the goals, tasks, policies and measures set out in the Resolution of the Congress for the 2020-2025 term. Firmly managing and protecting the sovereignty and security of the maritime border area; effectively fighting and preventing all types of crimes and social evils, maintaining political security and social order and safety in the area, avoiding unexpected passiveness; participating in socio-economic development, consolidating the local political base, building an increasingly strong people's border defense posture.
In the 2020-2025 term, the unit had 17 collectives and 79 individuals awarded the titles of "Advanced Unit", "Basic Emulation Fighter", "Advanced Fighter" and certificates of merit from all levels and sectors.
The congress promoted democracy, focused on intelligence, and had many opinions contributing to the political report, the review report of the Party Committee, and the draft documents of the higher-level Party Congress. All opinions agreed and highly agreed with the documents presented to the congress.
The Congress elected the Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; elected the Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and delegates to the congress of higher levels in accordance with the principles and regulations. Accordingly, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Viet, Political Commissar, was elected as Secretary; Major Do Van Lanh, Station Chief, was elected as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Song Doc Border Station for the 2025-2030 term.
Speaking at the congress, Colonel Pham Minh Giang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the Party Committee of Song Doc Border Post in the past term; at the same time, he requested that in the coming term, the Party Committee of Song Doc Border Post needs to have drastic, synchronous, focused, key and breakthrough leadership policies and measures. Focus on building a strong Party Committee in terms of politics, ideology, organization and ethics; improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee, truly be the core of the unit's leadership to successfully complete all assigned tasks, overcome weaknesses and weak points, create new changes in all aspects of work; proactively grasp, analyze and forecast the situation; perform well the advisory function, propose appropriate policies and solutions in handling situations and incidents; strengthen administrative management, control entry and exit, ensure strict management of people and vehicles; Strictly implement measures to combat IUU fishing; proactively and effectively combat all types of crime, especially drug crimes, social evils, smuggling, and trade fraud.
