On the morning of March 2, the weather in Hai Phong was drizzling with spring rain, but thousands of students came to the Admissions and Career Counseling Fair very early to find out information about choosing a major, career, and school at nearly 130 consulting booths of training institutions.
"Be careful of false admission information"
Speaking at the Admissions and Career Counseling Festival held in Hai Phong, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nguyen, deputy editor-in-chief of Tuoi Tre newspaper, said that 2025 marks a proud milestone as this is the 23rd year the Admissions and Career Counseling program has been held nationwide.
As for Hai Phong, this year is the 12th time the program has been held here. More specifically, this year the program in Hai Phong has been upgraded to a Career Guidance and Admissions Consulting Festival.
This upgrade not only reflects the development of the program but also reflects the increasing need of society to support students in making the right choices among the many crossroads of life.

According to Mr. Nguyen, in the information technology society, with just one click, students can find thousands of articles, videos, and shares about enrollment and career guidance. He believes that this is a great advantage, but also poses many challenges.
The proliferation of unverified, sometimes incorrect information has caused many students and parents to fall into a state of information "chaos". There are websites that give inaccurate advice, baseless information about majors, schools or job opportunities, causing students to be confused, even going astray.
Therefore, today's Admissions and Career Counseling Day has a special meaning: this is an opportunity for students to meet directly with teachers and experienced experts, and receive accurate and reliable advice.
"You are at the age of 17, 18 - the most beautiful age of youth, but also the time when you face the first big challenge of life: choosing a school, choosing a career. This is not just choosing a place to study for a few years, but choosing a path that will shape the future ahead.
How to choose the right school, the right major, suitable for your strengths, talents and interests? How to not regret what you have chosen? The answer lies in today's festival.
Make the most of this precious opportunity. Don't hesitate to ask questions, don't hesitate to share your concerns and dreams with teachers and experts. Every question you ask, every advice you receive, can be the key to opening the door to success. Let's turn this festival into a turning point, where you find a clear and solid direction for yourself," Mr. Nguyen advised the students.

At the program, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Xuan Duong - Principal of Vietnam Maritime University - said that as a training institution, Vietnam Maritime University has accompanied the enrollment and career counseling program in Hai Phong for many years.
The school always considers this a meaningful activity, not only helping the school attract students who are truly capable and dream of pursuing the careers that Vietnam Maritime University trains, but also helping a large number of senior students have information to choose the right direction, pass exams and admission seasons with the expected results.
Faced with changes in the regulations for high school graduation exams and university admissions, Mr. Duong said that the Admissions and Career Counseling Day is a valuable opportunity for parents and students to experience and have their questions answered.
"I hope that students will promote the highest spirit of learning to listen, exchange and absorb the valuable information that the organizers and teachers in the program's advisory board have strived to bring to us today," said Mr. Duong.

The consulting booth of Vietnam Maritime University brought the "giant" Baby Three to the festival for students to check in. Besides, there were more than 10 separate consulting booths to answer students' questions about the school's 50 training programs/majors, current and future career trends.
The University of Natural Sciences (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) has a separate consulting area for basic science and technology majors, especially "hot" information when this year the school starts recruiting 100 students for the semiconductor technology major.
At the private consulting booth of Vietnam Agricultural Academy, there was a surprise appearance of "lien anh, lien chi" standing to distribute the school's enrollment information and ready to answer questions from students.
Wearing a four-panel dress and a crow-beak scarf, Nguyen Thi Dinh, a fourth-year student at the Agricultural Academy, said that because she is from Bac Ninh, Dinh decided to wear a four-panel dress to the festival to show her pride in her hometown and easily attract students. This is also the first year that a female student has worn a four-panel dress to the Admissions and Career Counseling Day organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper in coordination with other units.
At the consulting booth of Nam Dinh Nursing University, students experienced first aid for victims through models, attracting a large number of students to participate in the experience and learn about the profession.
