The National Hangeul Museum of Korea under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea, in collaboration with the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam and the National Library of Vietnam, will organize various programs to convey Korean cultural values in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Vietnam is the country with the largest number of King Sejong Institutes in the world; the love and interest in Korean culture is so great that Korean was introduced as the first foreign language in Vietnam in 2021.

This exhibition is co-organized by the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam and the National Hangeul Museum of Korea from July 15 to August 9, within the framework of the "Overseas Cultural Center Visit Program Cooperation Project" implemented by the International Cultural Project Board under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea. This is the first exhibition in Vietnam with the theme of "Hangeul" - Korean writing.

Starting with the operation of the calligraphy experience program in Vietnam this time, the National Hangeul Museum plans to expand "Hangeul Experience Everywhere" overseas, thereby popularizing Hangeul worldwide in the future.
The National Hangeul Museum will explore and promote joint projects, based on cooperation with relevant institutions overseas, take the lead in expanding the value of Hangeul and Hangeul culture, and promote the exchange of writing culture.
The Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, which co-hosts this exhibition, was established in 2006 and is the first Korean Cultural Center in Southeast Asia. As such, the Center plays a key role in promoting Korean culture in Vietnam by planning and organizing various Korean cultural events, including large-scale Korean cultural festivals.
Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Choi Young Sam said: "Korean is designated as the first foreign language and more than 60 universities in Vietnam have established Korean language departments. This proves that the Korean wave in Vietnam is hotter than in any other country. I hope this exhibition will be a good opportunity to introduce the beauty and science of Hangeul to the Vietnamese people."
“ We expect the cooperation agreement with the National Library of Vietnam to be an opportunity for the two institutions to gain a deeper understanding of each other’s cultures through active exchange and cooperation,” said Mr. Kim Il Hwan, Director of the National Hangeul Museum.
