Provincial leaders visit and celebrate Bunpimay in Champasak province

(QBĐT) - On the occasion of the traditional Lao New Year Bunpimay, on the morning of April 9, a high-ranking delegation of Quang Binh province led by Mr. Tran Hai Chau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, visited and congratulated the Party Committee, Government and people of Champasak province (Lao PDR). The delegation included Mr. Doan Ngoc Lam, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments, branches and sectors in the province.

On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Binh province, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Hai Chau sent his deepest condolences to the Party Committee, government and people of Champasak province on the passing of General Khamtay Siphandone, former Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, former President and former Prime Minister of the Lao PDR.

In addition to information on the socio-economic development of Quang Binh province and the results of cooperation in many fields between the two provinces in recent times, Mr. Tran Hai Chau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, hopes that in the coming time, Quang Binh and Champasak will continue to encourage and create conditions for businesses of the two provinces to promote investment cooperation in a number of fields, such as: Trade, tourism, services, transportation, etc.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Hai Chau presented 50 million VND to the Association of Vietnamese People in Champasak province.

Visiting the Vietnamese Consulate General in Pakse, Mr. Tran Hai Chau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, suggested that in the coming time, the Vietnamese Consulate General in Pakse should continue to assist and always be a reliable bridge between Quang Binh province and the provinces in the Southern Laos region, contributing to promoting the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos "forever green, forever sustainable". The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also gave specific comments on some recommendations of the Consulate General.
