(HNMO) - On the afternoon of June 15, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee held a press conference on the progress of the investment project to build Ho Chi Minh City's Ring Road 3 and announced the project's groundbreaking ceremony.
The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 construction investment project has a total length of 76.3km, a total investment of 75,378 billion VND, passing through 4 localities: Ho Chi Minh City (47.35km), Dong Nai province (11.26km), Binh Duong province (10.76km), Long An province (6.81km).
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project is expected to be basically completed in 2025 and put into operation in 2026. To date, the construction site in Ho Chi Minh City has cleared 356ha/410ha (about 87%). The procedures for starting construction are carried out in accordance with regulations on contract signing, approval of construction drawings, labor safety, and environmental sanitation.
Also at the press conference, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board Luong Minh Phuc said that the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 construction investment project will officially start on June 18, 2023.
“There are still big challenges ahead, we must try a hundred times harder. The progress must ensure environmental safety, the material system, and site clearance must be completed 100% as soon as possible. Ho Chi Minh City closely coordinates with relevant localities to carry out the project construction steps in parallel, ensuring the fastest progress,” Mr. Luong Minh Phuc emphasized.
At the press conference, a representative of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City said that compensation for site clearance for people with only hand-signed sales documents after July 1, 2004 to before June 16, 2022 will still be considered for compensation as usual, based on the origin of the land use process of each file.
