New impetus for development

Right from the first months of 2025, Dak Lak has witnessed the launch of many large, strategic projects, attracting the attention of many domestic and foreign investors.

A typical example is the Commercial Center, Hotel, and Housing Complex Project at 2 Mai Hac De, Buon Ma Thuot City with a total investment of over VND 2,400 billion invested by Ecopark Hai Duong Investment Joint Stock Company. The Provincial People's Committee has assigned more than 39,405m² of land to this project and leased more than 3,239m² of land right in the city center for implementation. The project includes townhouses, apartments, social housing, public land and commercial services. According to the Provincial People's Committee, this project plays an important role in the development of Buon Ma Thuot City because it not only creates an architectural highlight but also promotes the development of local trade, services, tourism, etc.

The next trillion-dollar project that Trung Nguyen Legend Group has just broken ground on is the Trung Nguyen Legend Energy Coffee Factory with a total investment of 2,000 billion VND - the largest in Southeast Asia, located in Tan An 2 Industrial Park, Buon Ma Thuot City. The project not only contributes to the development of the deep processing industry but also creates jobs, increases income for people, and promotes the regional economy. This is not only an important milestone but also a mark affirming the position of Vietnamese coffee on the world map.

In the first quarter of 2025, the Phu Xuan Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Construction Project (Cu M'gar District) was also launched. Accordingly, the Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board and the project investor, Dak Lak DPV Joint Stock Company, also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation to implement the investment project in Phu Xuan Industrial Park with partners and businesses.

According to the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Ha, this is a key project of special significance. The project is the basis for implementation to attract investment projects to the industrial park. This will promote industrial growth, rapidly shift the economic structure of the province towards increasing the proportion of industry, contributing to promoting economic growth of 8% or more according to the orientation.

Not only impressed by the launch of trillion-dollar projects, in the first months of 2025, the province has organized many activities to attract domestic and foreign businesses to explore cooperation and investment opportunities.

The cooperation agreements signed through meetings, exchanges, negotiations as well as the decisions approving investment policies have created many new prospects for the socio-economic development of the province. This is reflected in the total investment capital of projects in the first quarter of 2025, which increased sharply compared to the same period last year.

Specifically, according to the Department of Finance, in the first 3 months of 2025, the province issued investment policy decisions for 3 projects with a total investment capital of more than 376 billion VND. Compared to the same period in 2024, the number of projects did not increase but the total investment capital increased by 209.9%. This is a positive signal in the province's investment attraction work in recent times.

Leaders of Dak Lak province and Attapeu (Lao People's Democratic Republic) signed a cooperation agreement.

Dak Lak province hopes to attract and accompany more investors in the coming time. From there, it will contribute significantly to the locality in realizing the economic growth target, creating many job opportunities for the people, contributing to the overall development of the province.

Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Huong, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Lien Phuong Highland Textile Joint Stock Company, shared that on March 31, 2025, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province signed a decision approving the investment policy and at the same time approving the investor of the Veston Textile - Garment Center Project invested by Lien Phuong Highland.

Previously, when researching the environment and investment conditions in the province, she found that the climate and humidity here are suitable for wool products. Moreover, Dak Lak has nearly 2 million people, promising abundant human resources.

Therefore, she was determined to choose this place as the location to carry out the project with the hope of bringing jobs to the people. In the coming time, she will continue to call for foreign investors to the province to be able to create a concentrated area for the production of sheep wool products in Vietnam.

In addition to implementing major projects, the province has also promoted investment promotion activities and expanded cooperation with domestic and foreign partners. Within the framework of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, taking place in mid-March 2025, the Provincial People's Committee organized the signing of a cooperation agreement with Attapeu province (Lao People's Democratic Republic) in 9 fields. In addition, the province has also organized many conferences and forums to connect investors, introduce the province's potential and investment opportunities. For example, at the International Trade Conference "Connecting and Elevating Vietnamese Coffee", units, enterprises, and production and business establishments of Dak Lak province signed 18 memorandums of cooperation agreements with international organizations and foreign enterprises, etc.

Along with organizing trade promotion and investment cooperation activities, newly launched and newly approved important projects will create strong momentum and open up great opportunities for the province to continue to break through and develop in all aspects in the coming time.
