Conference to review the work of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the first quarter and deploy tasks in the second quarter of 2025

On April 8, 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DTC) held a conference to review the work of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the first quarter and deploy tasks in the second quarter of 2025. Comrade Tran Hong Tien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department chaired the conference with comrades in the Board of Directors of the Department, representatives of the leaders of specialized departments and public service units under the Department.

In the first 3 months of 2025, closely following the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the fields of work of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector have achieved positive results: Successfully organizing the Ceremony to honor revolutionary soldiers at Buon Ma Thuot Prison; advising on the successful organization of the Art Program and fireworks display on New Year's Eve to welcome the Lunar New Year of At Ty, 2025 and the 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) at 10/3 Square, Buon Ma Thuot City (January 28, 2025); the program of Meeting with representatives of artists, intellectuals and the press on the occasion of the beginning of Spring At Ty, 2025 (February 6, 2025); advising on the successful organization of the 50th Anniversary of Buon Ma Thuot Victory and the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 with many exciting and meaningful activities attracting a large number of people inside and outside the province to participate, especially international delegations participating in activities during the Festival; continuing to implement the contents of Project No. 6 to preserve and promote the fine traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities associated with the development of community tourism in the province...

Total tourism revenue of the whole province in the first 3 months of 2025: estimated at 600 billion VND, up 95.28% over the same period in 2024; total number of visitors received: estimated at 700,000 visitors, up 81.82% over the same period in 2024. Domestic visitors are estimated at 683,500 visitors, up 81.34% over the same period in 2024. International visitors are 16,500 visitors, up 104.31% over the same period in 2024.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Tran Hong Tien - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and achievements of the entire Industry; well performing the state management work and promptly organizing and implementing the contents and tasks of culture, sports and tourism in the province. Deploying instructions for units and establishments to carry out propaganda to celebrate major holidays, although there were still some difficulties and limitations, all civil servants, public employees and workers of the entire Industry were united, unanimous, made efforts to overcome difficulties, well organized activities according to functions and tasks, and successfully completed the set targets and plans.

Concluding the Conference, Comrade Tran Hong Tien - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism directed and agreed to deploy key tasks in the second quarter of 2025 and emphasized that civil servants, public employees and workers should further promote their spirit and responsibility in implementing assigned goals and tasks, striving to complete the 2025 work plan; Continue to advise on related contents on the preparation of propaganda for Party congresses at all levels, the 18th Provincial Party Congress towards the 14th National Congress of the Party; Focus on guiding press agencies to strengthen propaganda work on the policies of the Party and State, political and social events of the province and the country; continue to strengthen foreign information work in border areas, focusing on introducing and promoting the image, development potential, investment environment and culture, and people of Dak Lak; Submit to the Provincial People's Committee to issue a document guiding the organization of the Grassroots Sports Congress and the 10th Dak Lak Provincial Sports Congress in the new situation; coordinate to successfully organize national and provincial sports tournaments; Advise on the contents of the Provincial People's Council's Resolution on tourism development in Dak Lak province for the period 2026 - 2030; organize inspections and assessments of invested tourism villages; Meeting to review and evaluate the results of the implementation of Resolution No. 08/2021/NQ-HDND; advise on the contents of the Provincial People's Council's Resolution on supporting the development of community tourism in ethnic minority villages and hamlets in Dak Lak province, period 2026 - 2030...
