Accordingly, the two gold medals belonged to two students of Bac Giang High School for the Gifted, Than The Cong and Truong Phi Hung. Previously, Than The Cong also won the only gold medal for the Vietnamese delegation at the 2024 Asian Physics Olympiad.
The three silver medals went to students: Nguyen Nhat Minh (High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences), Ha Duyen Phuc (Lam Son High School for the Gifted, Thanh Hoa), and Nguyen Thanh Duy (Tran Phu High School for the Gifted, Hai Phong).

The 54th International Physics Olympiad was held in Iran from July 21-29.
According to the regulations of the IPhO Council 2024, the exam consists of 1 theoretical exam and 1 practical exam. Each exam lasts 5 hours. This year's exam is considered interesting and difficult, the content of the theoretical and practical exams are closely related to real life and touch on the applications of modern science and technology.
To win a gold medal, contestants must be in the top 8% of contestants with the highest scores.
The Vietnamese delegation is among the countries with the highest results at this year's IPhO. Last year, the Vietnamese team won 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal.
The IPhO 2024 Organizing Committee will hold the closing ceremony and award ceremony on July 28, 2024, starting at 9:00 (Iran time).
