Ho Chi Minh City will be the world's AI center
Speaking at the meeting with the Prime Minister, Mr. Dao Xuan Vu, Deputy General Director of Viettel Military Industry and Telecommunications Group, assessed C4IR as a remarkable step forward, with a pioneering mission in national digital transformation.
To help this center thrive, Mr. Vu has four recommendations to the Prime Minister.
In particular, Mr. Vu said that to promote sustainable development, it is necessary to establish a national steering committee, with a consistent connection in policy issuance. At the same time, create a mechanism to develop digital transformation, 5G digital infrastructure, thereby creating a driving force to promote the digital economy, digital government...
Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CMC Technology Group Joint Stock Company, said that previously it was a smart city, now it must be an AI city.
Ho Chi Minh City will be the world's AI center if the Prime Minister and Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee trust and create favorable conditions for businesses to develop.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh expressed his opinion that the Center for Industrial Revolution 4.0 in Ho Chi Minh City needs to evaluate AI not only as a technology but also as a driving force for development.
Because the whole world is talking about AI affecting every aspect of life. Therefore, with the digital transformation strategy, the chairman of CMC wants to bring the initiative that Ho Chi Minh City will be the first place to transform AI. If successful, it will be a model for the world.
"With good application, Vietnam's GDP will increase by 14% by 2030. The challenge is institutions and human resources. We have repeatedly proposed making Ho Chi Minh City the world's AI center, creating new values for the AI industry, and providing artificial intelligence services to the world.
With large enterprises in the technology industry in Vietnam, we hope that the digital economy will develop, making Ho Chi Minh City the leader in AI and spreading globally," said Mr. Chinh.
