At 4:00 p.m. on February 5, the interdisciplinary inspection team of Nha Trang City People's Committee visited Aroma Beach restaurant (Nguyen Thien Thuat Street, Tan Tien Ward, Nha Trang City) but could not meet the owner of this restaurant.
The interdisciplinary delegation includes officials from Nha Trang City People's Committee, Tan Tien Ward People's Committee, Nha Trang City Tax Department, Khanh Hoa Market Management Department... led by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Anh Minh - Head of Finance - Planning Department of Nha Trang City People's Committee.
According to Tuoi Tre Online , members of the interdisciplinary team "knocked on the door" of this restaurant, but there was no one there to work.
The delegation continued to call Mr. Ho Van Tam, owner of Aroma Beach. However, Mr. Tam did not answer the phone.
The interdisciplinary team then contacted Tan Tien Ward Police to coordinate with this restaurant.
At around 4:15 p.m., two police officers from Tan Tien Ward came to the restaurant and called Mr. Tam's phone number. He still did not answer.
At 4:30 p.m., because no one came to work at this restaurant, the inspection of the above restaurant ended.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Anh Minh said that although he could not work with the owner of Aroma Beach, the interdisciplinary team made a record of the incident and reported it to the Chairman of Nha Trang City People's Committee for further handling.
On the same afternoon, Tuoi Tre Online also contacted Mr. Tran Minh Chien - Chairman of Nha Trang City People's Committee - many times to exchange information about the direction to handle Aroma Beach restaurant which was accused of "ripping off" Chinese tourists. However, Mr. Chien did not respond.

As Tuoi Tre Online reported, on the evening of February 4, Facebook spread an article titled: A restaurant in Nha Trang charges sky-high prices, "ripping off" foreign tourists.
The article stated: "Looking at the bill, the dishes are very expensive: grilled eggplant with scallion oil is 1,890,000 VND/portion, stir-fried water spinach with garlic is 500,000 VND per plate, total of 2 plates is 1 million VND, beef/chicken pho is 325,000 VND per bowl, white rice is 250,000 VND per portion, total of 500,000 VND, 2 cans of Coca are 200,000 VND, Tiger is also 100,000 VND/can.
There are many other dishes that the restaurant charges sky-high prices on the bill that everyone can verify for themselves. Not stopping there, the total cost of the meal was 15,724,000 VND, however, the restaurant continued to charge an additional "New Year's surcharge" of 4,717,200 VND, the customer paid a total of 20,441,200 VND.
Why can the restaurant charge such a high price for tourists right in the center of Nha Trang city?".
Under the article, many people expressed their anger that the restaurant had upset tourists, while others requested clarification on prices and surcharges during Tet... to avoid affecting local tourism.
By the morning of February 5, Aroma Beach restaurant (Nguyen Thien Thuat street, Tan Tien ward, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa) had removed all of its signboards and closed its doors.
