From March 17-20, Vietnamese Ambassador to Greece Pham Thi Thu Huong visited Central Macedonia, Greece.
During the visit, Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong met and worked with the Governor of Central Macedonia, Deputy Mayor of Thessaloniki; Vice President of Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Macedonia - Thrace, Executive Vice President of the Federation of Greek Industries in Thessaloniki.
With a population of nearly 2 million, Central Macedonia is the second largest region of Greece with its capital being Thessaloniki, the second largest city in Greece and a major economic center in the Balkans region.

At the meetings, the two sides discussed strengthening connections between localities, businesses and people of the two countries.
Greece highly appreciated the development achievements that Vietnam has made and expressed its willingness to promote cooperation and linkage between universities in the region and the city with universities in Vietnam, thereby providing knowledgeable and skilled human resources for both countries.
