In particular, focusing on strictly implementing management work, strengthening inspection and supervision of forest fire prevention and control early, from a distance, right from the grassroots level and considering this a key and continuous task; strengthening propaganda and education to raise awareness of cadres, party members and people in forest fire prevention and control; strictly controlling the use of fire in and near forests by people, especially slash-and-burn farming activities, and handling of vegetation cover; promptly preventing and strictly handling acts of using fire with high risk of causing forest fires during the peak of the dry season.

In addition, units and localities need to strictly implement prevention as the main focus, fire fighting must be carried out early, from the grassroots according to the motto "4 on-site"; urgently clarify the causes when forest fires occur and strictly handle subjects who intentionally violate the law on forest fire prevention and control, handle the responsibility of the heads of agencies and organizations if they lack responsibility in leadership and direction to cause forest fires. During the peak of the dry season, assign forces to be on duty 24/24 hours, arrange checkpoints, patrol and guard in areas with high risk of fire, strictly control people entering and leaving the forest; promptly detect and mobilize forces to participate in controlling and extinguishing fires in the fastest time; regularly monitor information warning of heat waves, risk of forest fires...
