Today, October 3, the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Tri province, including: Party Central Committee member, Provincial Party Secretary, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Tri province Le Quang Tung; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong; Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Colonel Nguyen Huu Dan met with voters before the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly in Hai Truong commune, Hai Lang district.

At the meeting with voters, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Colonel Nguyen Huu Dan reported to voters the expected content and program of the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly. Accordingly, the 8th session will open on October 21, 2024 and close on the morning of November 30, 2024.
The session will be held in two phases: phase 1 from October 21 to November 13, 2024 and phase 2 from November 20 to the morning of November 30, 2024. During this session, the National Assembly will consider and pass 16 draft laws, 2 draft resolutions and give opinions on 12 draft laws. Consider and decide on socio-economic issues, the state budget and a number of other important issues.
Voters in Hai Truong commune highly appreciated the activities of the National Assembly in recent times, including the provincial National Assembly Delegation. At the same time, they recommended that the health sector and health insurance should review and amend some regulations to create favorable conditions for people to have convenient medical examination and treatment beyond the prescribed level.
In addition, voters recommended that departments, branches and localities should promptly remove difficulties and obstacles in the construction of Hai Truong Commune Health Station and speed up the construction progress, putting the project into operation to meet the medical examination and treatment needs of the people.
The dredging of the tributaries and O Lau River must be done in a technical and scientific manner to bring about practical results and avoid serious landslides when the rainy and stormy season comes. The authorities should take samples of domestic water in some residential areas in the commune to test its composition because many people suspect that the polluted water source causes many serious health effects.

All levels and sectors need to pay attention to investing in the synchronous construction of drainage canals and flood-prevention dykes to improve agricultural production efficiency in low-lying areas. Build more classrooms to ensure the learning needs of students in the area.
Consider the plan to exploit pine forests in the area so that people can switch to crops that bring more economic efficiency. There should be measures to handle heavy trucks and tractors carrying overloaded construction materials that regularly circulate on the road through Truong Xuan village to ensure traffic safety and order and people's lives.
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Le Quang Tung accepted the voters' legitimate opinions and recommendations. At the same time, he requested authorities at all levels, relevant departments and branches to consider their responsibilities for the prolonged and ineffective investment projects; the Hai Truong Commune Health Station has not been completed for many years, affecting the people's need for medical examination and treatment. It is necessary to closely grasp the people's thoughts, promptly guide and quickly and effectively handle matters under their authority at the grassroots level.
Requesting relevant departments, branches, units, localities, and the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board to focus on resettlement and livelihood conversion to ensure people's lives during the implementation of projects in key industrial parks in Hai Lang district; consider investing in additional infrastructure and educational equipment to meet the needs of students in the district.

Exchanging with voters, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong clarified a number of related contents and assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the province to develop and complete the clean water supply project, including Hai Truong commune, to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration before submitting to competent authorities for approval; review the system of dykes and canals in low-lying areas and propose to competent authorities for decision so that from 2025, synchronous construction can be implemented to improve production efficiency.
Regarding the proposal to exploit the 20-year-old pine forest to convert to other crops, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the current pine forest is ensuring environmental landscape, high coverage, soil retention, and very good landslide prevention, so it should be temporarily retained according to the production forest land planning, and will later be considered for handling in accordance with the land use planning in the next phase.
Local leaders have received, discussed and explained a number of issues that voters are concerned about. The contents of voters' recommendations under the authority of the National Assembly, ministries and central branches will be studied and reported to the Provincial National Assembly Delegation for resolution in the coming time.
