After the bronze medal of weightlifter Le Van Cong, weightlifting continued to reap more achievements for the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 2023 Asian Para Games, when weightlifter Nguyen Binh An excellently won another bronze medal in the 54kg weight class with a result of 184kg.
The Vietnamese sports delegation won the second medal at the Asian Para Games. This is a commendable achievement for Binh An when he had to face very strong weightlifters.
The champion of the 12th ASEAN Para Games in June this year has continued to reap glory for Vietnamese weightlifting at the continental level.
Binh An's mark began in 2010, when he participated in the national weightlifting competition for the disabled and immediately won the gold medal in the 52 kg category with a total lift of 154 kg.
Three years later, at the Asian Championship, the weightlifter from Tra Vinh continued to win gold in the 54 kg category, with a total lift of 170 kg, a number that helped him break the Asian record in this category.
Binh An has begun to be mentioned as a leading weightlifter in Vietnam's disabled sports and has responded to fans' expectations with a prestigious medal at this year's Asian Para Games.
