MC Huong Quynh before the "G Hour" of the 2nd "Proud of My Fatherland" Half Marathon - 2025

This year, Quynh continues to take on the role of MC of the "Pride of My Fatherland" race. What is the most memorable memory for you as the MC of the first race ? Compared to last year, do you have any special preparations to create a more explosive atmosphere for the athletes ?

- This year, Huong Quynh is very lucky to continue to take on the role of MC of the tournament. What Huong Quynh remembers most about the 2024 tournament is the faces and smiles of the athletes at that time. Although the weather in Binh Chanh was quite hot, the athletes at the finish line were very radiant and felt excited when they were able to admire the beautiful scenery of the suburbs.

Huong Quynh will try to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere so that athletes can receive positive energy through words of encouragement from the start to the finish line at all distances.

. If you could describe the "Pride of My Fatherland" race in a few words, what words would you choose? Why?

- If I had to use 3 words to describe the tournament, I would probably say: "Pride - Joy - Smile".

"Proud" - because we have tried to surpass ourselves when conquering the path we have chosen. Proud because we are showing our love for the Fatherland in many different ways. Not only through songs, singing, sayings, images... but also through the way we show our health. Having health is having everything, having health is the way we protect the sacred Fatherland.

"Having fun" - running is for fun, running to meet your "comrades", to run through beautiful routes, to have happy moments with the people we love and more importantly, it is the feeling of happiness that we ourselves have done well what we wanted.

"Smile" - here, in the role of MC, Huong Quynh is also the time when she can see more people's smiles, laugh freely and also let everyone see that there are many lovely things around us, from which we have the motivation to continue with running, with the things we love in life.

This year, the 21km distance of the race is designed in the shape of the national flag - a meaningful symbol. As the MC, what plans do you have to help the athletes fully feel this spirit on the race track?

-The 21km route (Half Marathon) of this year's race is shaped like the national flag, a very meaningful symbol for Vietnamese people. Huong Quynh will remind the athletes to remember to turn on the tracklog, marking our journey from pace to total time we complete, from there we will have many new PRs (Personal Records) for ourselves.

When it comes to big holidays, most women will dress up in traditional Vietnamese dress to take pictures with the national flag. This year, runners will have a different way to celebrate by posting photos with a tracklog with a route symbolizing the flag.

Furthermore, this year Ho Chi Minh City will have many activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), so this is also a way for us to show our love for the place where we were born, grew up and are working.

The 2nd "Proud of My Fatherland" Half-marathon - 2025 is held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper (July 28, 1975 - July 28, 2025). The entire competition distance of the tournament takes place on the route of spacious, well-maintained asphalt roads of the two communes of Tan Nhut and Le Minh Xuan (Binh Chanh district) .

Along with famous historical sites such as the Revolutionary Traditional Area of ​​the 1968 Mau Than General Offensive and Uprising, athletes participating in the tournament will also have the opportunity to admire the Vietnam Buddhist Academy (2nd campus in Ho Chi Minh City) in Le Minh Xuan commune - where the United Nations Day of Vesak (VESAK) 2025 will take place in early May.
