(QBĐT) - On the afternoon of April 11, authorized by the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Committee Office organized a meeting with Lao officials and students studying at training facilities in the province on the occasion of the traditional Bunpimay New Year of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

In a warm and united atmosphere, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office sent New Year greetings to Lao officials and students, and affirmed that the province always creates favorable conditions for Lao officials and students to study, live and practice in a friendly and safe environment, contributing to training quality human resources for Laos.

Over the past years, Quang Binh province and other provinces of Laos have had cooperation programs, supporting each other in all aspects of economy, culture-society, national defense-security, especially in the field of education-training. Quang Binh province has received many Lao officials and students to study.
Currently, there are 190 Laotian staff and students studying at Quang Binh University and Quang Binh Medical College. In addition, the province has also sent 5 teachers to teach Vietnamese in Khammouane province.

In particular, in 2024, Quang Binh province supported the construction of Thong Nhat Secondary School in Khammouane province and is currently implementing the Ethnic Secondary School project in Mahaxay district, Khammouane province, funded by the Vietnamese Government to the Lao Government...

The meeting is an opportunity for Lao officials and students to exchange and share experiences in studying and living, while expressing deep friendship, contributing to strengthening the close relationship and solidarity between Quang Binh and localities of Laos, thereby deepening the special feelings between the two brotherly peoples of Vietnam and Laos.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee Office presented gifts from the province to Lao cadres and students studying at training facilities in the area; the Provincial Veterans Association and units also presented gifts to Lao cadres and students.
