On the afternoon of June 15, the working delegation of Nhan Dan Newspaper led by comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, had a working session with the Provincial Journalists Association, Nam Dinh Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station, and the Department of Information and Communications.

Over the years, Nam Dinh press has continuously developed in terms of quality, staff, structure, technical equipment and operating mechanism. The Provincial Journalists Association currently has 125 members, operating in 6 grassroots journalist associations belonging to local and central press agencies residing in the locality and the provincial press management agency, including: Nam Dinh Newspaper Association, Provincial Radio and Television Station Association, Department of Information and Communications Association, Provincial Journalists Association Office Association, Van Nhan Magazine Association, Vietnam News Agency Resident Agency Association in Nam Dinh. The Provincial Journalists Association has innovated the content and methods of operation, improved the effectiveness of the Association's activities, strengthened coordination with press agencies and press management agencies in the province to train and build political capacity for journalist members, and at the same time created a cultural space for press activities, thereby correcting "deviations" in professional ethics. The Provincial Journalists Association has established a Party Cell of the Provincial Journalists Association; annually, the organization receives and improves the quality of activities of members and resident reporters at the Provincial Journalists Association; organizes the expanded Provincial Journalists Association Press Award; directs grassroots Journalists Associations to propagate the good implementation of the Press Law; regulations on professional ethics of journalists; Code of conduct on social networks of Vietnamese Journalists... so that reporters and members are always aware of their responsibility to implement; at the same time, raise awareness and responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations, leaders of press agencies, and journalists about the position and importance of culture for the development of the country, as well as the development of each press agency. In the first 6 months of 2023, the Provincial Journalists Association has proactively organized key activities of the Association; organized the signing of emulation covenants, launched emulation and reward competitions in 2023 between specific associations. Within the framework of the 2023 National Press Festival, Nam Dinh Newspaper won the Encouragement Prize for Impressive Tet Newspaper Cover. In previous years, Nam Dinh Journalist was one of two Special Issues nationwide to win the Prize for Beautiful Tet Newspaper Cover.

At the meeting, leaders of Nam Dinh Newspaper and the provincial Radio and Television Station reported on the results of the unit's activities, including the good performance of assigned functions and tasks, active innovation of content, diversification of media products, development in the direction of multimedia communication, meeting the increasing demands of the public; at the same time, they pointed out the difficulties and shortcomings of the local press.

Speaking at the meeting, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh acknowledged the efforts of the Provincial Journalists Association and local press agencies that have made positive contributions to the general press activities of the whole country and emphasized: The Journalists Association and local press still face many difficulties, especially in terms of equipment, policies, staffing, and inadequate revenue. The revenue of the press is mainly from advertising, but local press agencies still face many difficulties; therefore, each press agency needs to have appropriate methods to achieve more efficiency in this field. In addition, the national digital transformation strategy is the guiding principle for current press agencies, so agencies need to innovate, improve the quality of digital transformation, carry out multimedia propaganda, diversify propaganda content to meet the increasing needs and tastes of readers, paying attention to training, improving the professional qualifications and skills of journalists. In the context of having to compete with many sources of information and many propaganda methods, the work of journalists is increasing while having to follow the direction of reducing staff and moving towards autonomy. Local press agencies need to pay more attention and be more proactive in management, training and propaganda orientation, and at the same time identify printed newspapers as an important core product to have effective plans and initiatives. Nhan Dan Newspaper is willing to share experiences with Party press agencies so that local press can achieve the highest efficiency in propaganda work and hopes to have more in-depth working sessions with the Journalists Association and local press agencies to exchange experiences and remove difficulties in management and professional activities.
