Dien Bien has 3 products recognized as 4-star OCOP in 2023

Comrade Lo Van Tien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Council for Evaluation and Ranking of OCOP products of Dien Bien province chaired the conference.

Participating in submitting documents for evaluation and ranking this time are 6 products from 3 districts: Muong Ang, Tuan Giao, Tua Chua. Of which 4 products belong to the processed tea group, including: Phan Nhat green tea of Phan Thanh Ngọt tea processing business establishment (Muong Ang district); Diep thanh tra - Tua Chua ancient Shan tuyet green tea, Diep thanh tra - Tua Chua ancient Shan tuyet white tea, Diep thanh tra - Sinh Phinh Shan tuyet green tea of Huong Linh Company Limited, Dien Bien province (Tua Chua district). Two coffee products, including: Hong Ky International coffee HK 13, Arabica Espresso (Whole bean coffee HK 10) of Hong Ky International Coffee Joint Stock Company (Tua Chua district).

The Council discussed and pointed out some shortcomings that require the subjects to soon complete to enhance the value of the products and be worthy of the brand. To do that, the specialized agency coordinates with localities and enterprises in supporting and creating the most favorable conditions for the subjects to develop OCOP products.

Members of the Provincial OCOP Product Evaluation and Ranking Council visited and evaluated the products.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Lo Van Tien emphasized the role of products in contributing to promoting the province's agricultural brand in the national market. Especially promoting the value of products in the National Tourism Year 2024. However, the products need to ensure the necessary and minimum conditions, especially in terms of quality.

In that spirit, the Council unanimously recognized 3 4-star OCOP products, including: Phan Nhat green tea, Hong Ky International coffee HK 13, and HK 10 whole bean coffee. For the remaining products, the Council requested the People's Committees of districts and entities to continue to improve the production process, upgrade infrastructure and necessary conditions for further consideration and recommendation next time.
