According to the announcement of the Educational Testing Service (ETS), the organization that organizes the TOEFL iBT exam, the average TOEFL iBT score worldwide is 88/120. Candidates from Austria have the highest average TOEFL score with 101 points; Germany, Slovenia and Switzerland are in second place with 100 points.

IELTS and TOEFL iBT are both accepted by more than 11,000 training institutions and organizations worldwide. In Vietnam, these two tests are recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training to consider exemption from the high school graduation exam in English. Meanwhile, universities use them for admission by converting them according to their own scale and combining them with their academic records, graduation exam scores or competency assessment scores.
